Southwest Michigan Horticultural Days Set for Feb. 7 and 8, 2024

The 2024 Southwest Michigan Horticultural Days will be held Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 7 and 8, 2024 at Lake Michigan College’s Mendel Center in Benton Harbor, Michigan. It is hosted by the Michigan Grape Society and Michigan State University Extension.

Two days of educational sessions will cover important topics such as farm sustainability, soil management, pest and disease management, farm insurance needs, and annual crop rotation options. The full day of farm marketing education returns for another year. New this year is a full day dedicated to vegetables. Topics to include squash viruses, irrigation monitoring information, trial reports from SWMREC and more.

Registration and the trade show begin at 8 a.m. and the educational sessions start at 9 a.m. both days. A wine showcase free for all attendees will be held Wednesday afternoon. Pre-registration for both days is $ 60.00 per person, postmarked before Jan. 19. Registrations for both days postmarked after Friday, Jan. 19, online and at the door, will be $75.00 per person. Single day registrations are available for a $15 discount off the full event registration price.
