Michigan Cider Association to Accept GLINTCAP Entries at CiderCon

CHICAGO, IL - January 24, 2025 – For the first time, the Michigan Cider Association (MCA) is thrilled to announce that entries for the Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition (GLINTCAP) will be accepted at CiderCon 2025! This exciting new initiative aims to better serve cidermakers from across the globe by providing a convenient, lower-cost option for submitting entries to the competition during the industry’s largest annual gathering, taking place February 4–7, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois.

Participants wishing to drop off entries at CiderCon must fully register their submissions in advance. GLINTCAP registration will officially open on Monday, February 3, 2025. Registration information can be found at michiganciders.com/glintcap. Additionally, the MCA will be onsite at CiderCon to assist with registration.

About GLINTCAP 2025 Celebrating its 19th year, GLINTCAP is the world's largest cider competition and accepts entries from commercial and non-commercial cidermakers, bringing together cidermakers from around the globe to showcase the diversity and craftsmanship of cider and perry. The competition will be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, from May 14–17, 2025, featuring an esteemed panel of skilled judges passionate about recognizing excellence in cider.

"By offering a drop-off location at CiderCon, we’re making it even easier for cidermakers to participate in this prestigious event. We’re excited to see the incredible entries our acclaimed judges will have the chance to evaluate from this expanded opportunity."

How to Participate To take advantage of the CiderCon drop-off option, participants must:

  • Complete the GLINTCAP registration process, which opens on February 3, 2025.
  • Ensure all entries meet the GLINTCAP submission guidelines.
  • Bring their registered entries to the Michigan Cider Association booth at the CiderCon Trade Show on Thursday, February 6, or Friday, February 7, during the specified hours.

GLINTCAP, the world’s largest cider judging, has become a key platform for advancing the cider industry by elevating the quality and visibility of cider worldwide. With a diversity of award categories, the competition provides valuable feedback to cidermakers of all levels and celebrates the immense artistry and innovation within the craft.
